BMF Young Artist: Lucas Huber Sierra

Lucas Huber Sierra (1995*) began his musical studies in Madrid. He later moved to Germany to study in Cologne and Lübeck under professors Josef Anton Scherrer and Konrad Elser, earning a bachelor’s and master’s degree in piano performance with the highest marks. Over the years, he has received important guidance from artists such as Claudio Martínez Mehner, Pierre-Laurent Aimard, Thomas Quasthoff, Susan Manoff, Graham Johnson, Brigitte Fassbaender and Christoph Prégardien. Lucas is currently pursuing a master’s degree in song accompaniment in the class of Wolfram Rieger at the HfM “Hanns Eisler” Berlin, where he also serves as a répétiteur and vocal coach. He is a scholarship holder of the Heidelberger Frühling Lied Academy 2023/24 under the artistic direction of Thomas Hampson and has taken part in various festival's Young Artist Programmes, including the Leeds Song Festival and the Schubertíada Vilabertran.
