BMF Young Artist: Èlia Farreras-Cabero
Catalan soprano Èlia Farreras-Cabero was born in 1999 and has been studying since 2019 at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin with Prof. Martin Bruns and Prof. Britta Schwarz. Previously, she completed her vocal studies at the Conservatory of Sabadell (Barcelona, Catalonia) with Elisenda Cabero, her mother. She has received important artistic inspiration through masterclasses with renowned singers and educators such as Graham Johnson, Thomas Allen, Christoph Prégardien, Thomas Quasthoff, and Wolfram Rieger. Her musical achievements have earned her several awards, including the prize for Best Lied Interpretation at the Concurs de Joves Cantants de Girona 2025, as well as scholarships from the Leeds Lieder Festival, the Schubertíada, and the Deutschlandstipendium. As a concert and opera singer, she has already performed in renowned venues such as the Deutsche Oper in Berlin, Palau de la Música Barcelona and Konzerthaus Berlin.
