Upon graduating with an MMus from the Royal College of Music, Jessie Grimes was awarded the Worshipful Company of Musician’s Silver Medal for outstanding musical achievement. Other solo achievements include the RCM Senior Woodwind Prize and the Camerata Ireland Ireland Fund of France Award and 2nd prize at the Irish Freemasons Young Musician of the Year 2011. Jessie is an experienced soloist and chamber musician. She was awarded the 1st prize at the St Martin-in- the-Fields Chamber Music Competition 2012 with the Jacquin Trio, with whom she was also a Royal Overseas League Competition finalist and an international competition prizewinner at the 19th International Chamber Music Competition in Thessaloniki, Greece. They have also been awarded the Tunnell Trust Award 2013 and are Artists in Residence 2013 at The Forge, Camden.

As an orchestral musician, Jessie has worked with the RTE National Symphony Orchestra, RTE Concert Orchestra, Camerata Ireland, Southbank Sinfonia, the BBC Concert Orchestra and the European Union Youth Orchestra under conductors such as Sir Mark Elder, Vladimir Ashkenazy, Bernard Haitink and Sir Colin Davis.
