2013 Boyne Music Festival Highlights

The inaugural Boyne Music Festival took place 2nd - 4th of August 2013 in the beautiful Townley Hall, Drogheda. The festival featured artists including Rita Manning, Chris Laurence, Layla Claire, Louis Stewart, Sharon Carty and the Manning Trio, among others, and was an overwhelming success. Over the course of the weekend, attendees enjoyed exploring the splendour of Townley Hall's Georgian interior as well as its extensive grounds. They took in five beautiful programmes of chamber music, song and jazz in the intimate library while perusing a stunning exhibit by painter, John O'Connor before and after the concerts. Other highlights included a riveting poetry reading by poet Neil McCarthy, guided tours of the home, and a musical workshop for children.
