Boyne Music Festival Piano Fund

The Boyne Music Festival is blessed to have use of Townley Hall's beautiful Steinway Model-D concert grand piano dating from 1904. The instrument is one we have grown to treasure, offering incredible warmth and gorgeous colours. However, despite all of its fine attributes it is in desperate need of a servicing! 

Many of the hammers need to be recentered, reshaped, voiced, toned and fitted to the strings. The action needs to be regulated and many of the key lead weights must be filed. As it has been quite some time since this piano has received any care and attention, this will require many long days of work by our piano technician and cost us approximately 2,500 Eur.  

We are now launching a campaign to raise the funds necessary for this work. If you are in a position to help us with this project, please be in touch. All donations, large or small, will be graciously welcomed!
